Autos are less expensive than taxis and unlike buses they take you to the doorstep of your destination.
The fares chargeable by the operators of the auto-rickshaws in national Capital Territory of Delhi shall be as under:
Rs 25/- for first fall of 2 Kilometers (upon downing the meter) and thereafter Rs. 8/- per Kilometer for every additional Kilometer.
Night Charges: 25% of the fare (11:00 PM to 5:00 AM). Waiting Charges: Rs 30/- per hour or part thereof (Subject to a minimum of 15 minutes stay). Luggage: Rs. 7.50/- shall be charged for extra luggage. No charges shall be levied for shopping bags or a small suitcase.
International flights land at Indira Gandhi International Airport which is about 15 kilometers from the National Museum. Pre-paid taxi services are available at the Airport on arrival. Auto rickshaws are available across the city for Indira Gandhi Airport.
The Airport Express Line connects Terminal T3 directly to Shivaji Stadium Metro Station near Connaught Place. Taxis and auto rickshaws are easily available at this metro station for further connectivity. Terminal T1 is connected to the Airport Express Line via feeder (shuttle) buses.
